General questions about Oomph Health

What is Oomph Health?

Oomph Health is a clinician-led service designed to help people restore their energy, metabolism, hormones, and overall performance. We combine advanced lab testing, personalized medical care, and ongoing support to help you feel like yourself again — naturally and sustainably.

Are you a real medical clinic?

Yes. Every diagnosis, prescription, and treatment plan is created by licensed, board-certified clinicians. Our care is 100% virtual, but fully legitimate.

Is everything online?

Yes. Consultations, follow-ups, coaching, and lab reviews are all completed virtually. Any prescribed medications are shipped directly to your door.

Why don't my regular doctors catch these issues?

Traditional healthcare focuses on disease, not optimization. If labs are 'in range,' most clinicians stop looking — even if you feel terrible. We investigate the root causes behind fatigue, low energy, slow metabolism, brain fog, hormonal shifts, and post-COVID imbalances.

How long until I start feeling better?

Most people feel improvements within: 2–4 weeks for energy, clarity, and sleep; 4–8 weeks for hormone-related changes; 6–12 weeks for weight loss momentum; 10+ weeks for complete transformation. We build results that last — not rushed, temporary changes.

Is Oomph safe?

Yes. All treatments are prescribed and monitored by licensed medical professionals, guided by clinical best practices, lab data, and regular follow-ups.

Do you treat both men and women?

Absolutely. We specialize in: Men's hormone optimization, Women's hormone optimization, Perimenopause & menopause, Weight loss, Postpartum changes, and Post-COVID fatigue and hormonal disruption.

What if I'm not a good candidate?

We'll tell you. We never prescribe medications or therapies unless they're clinically appropriate and safe for you.

Eligibility & getting started

Oomph is designed for people experiencing: Low energy, Brain fog, Sleep disruption, Slow metabolism, Weight gain or stubborn weight, Low libido, Hormone changes, Stress burnout, Post-COVID symptoms. If you feel 'off' and want clear answers, Oomph is for you.

What if I'm over 50? Is this still for me?

Yes — many clients in their 40s, 50s, and 60s find Oomph life-changing, especially during hormone transitions.

Can I use my existing labs?

Often yes. If they're recent and comprehensive, your provider may accept them.

Do I need to leave the house to start?

No. Onboarding, consultations, and many labs are completed remotely.

What states do you operate in?

We serve most U.S. states. Medication availability may vary based on state guidelines.

Hormone optimization

What is hormone optimization?

It's the process of restoring hormonal balance so you can regain energy, clarity, mood stability, libido, and metabolic health. We use labs, symptoms, and history to build a customized plan.

What symptoms may indicate hormonal imbalance?

Common signs include: low libido, brain fog, irritability, poor recovery, stubborn weight gain, sleep issues, low motivation, fatigue after COVID, hot flashes or cycle changes.

Which hormones do you test?

Depending on your symptoms, we may test: Testosterone, Estrogen, Progesterone, Thyroid panel (TSH, Free T3, Free T4, antibodies), Cortisol, Insulin, SHBG, Vitamin & mineral levels, Inflammation markers.

Do you prescribe HRT or TRT?

Yes — when clinically appropriate. We offer: Testosterone therapy, Thyroid optimization, Menopause & perimenopause support, Adrenal recalibration, Women's microdose testosterone (when appropriate).

Is hormone therapy safe long-term?

Yes — when monitored. We follow medical guidelines, use conservative dosing, and check labs regularly.

Do I need to be on hormones forever?

Not necessarily. Some people benefit long-term; others only need short-term optimization while their body stabilizes.

What if my labs are 'normal'?

'Normal' does not always mean optimal. Many clients with normal labs still experience severe symptoms. We look deeper: patterns, ratios, optimal ranges, symptom alignment. Labs tell a story — we interpret the whole chapter.

Weight loss

What medications do you offer?

Depending on eligibility, you may receive: GLP-1 injectables, Compounded GLP-1s, Liraglutide, Bupropion, Naltrexone, Topiramate, Vitamin B12 support.

Do GLP-1s slow your metabolism?

Not when managed properly. Our program includes metabolic testing, dosing strategy, and nutrition coaching to maintain lean muscle and metabolic health.

Do GLP-1s cause muscle loss?

They can if unmanaged — which is why we pair medications with protein guidance, habit coaching, and strength-preserving strategies.

Are compounded GLP-1s safe?

They are not FDA-approved. However, we use only accredited compounding pharmacies that meet strict quality standards.

Will I regain weight after stopping GLP-1 treatment?

Weight can return if habits and metabolism aren't supported. Our system includes coaching, testing, and lifestyle guidance to help you maintain long-term progress.

Do GLP-1 medications affect fertility or menstrual cycles?

They can for some people. Your clinician will evaluate your history and goals to determine suitability.

How fast will I lose weight?

Most clients lose weight steadily over 8–12 weeks with continued improvements over time.

Do I have to inject myself?

If you're on injectables, yes — but it's simple. If you prefer not to inject, oral options may be available.

Labs & testing

What labs do you test?

Depending on your plan, we test: hormones, thyroid, metabolic health, insulin resistance, inflammation, vitamin deficiencies, lipid profile, cortisol, blood sugar markers.

Do I have to visit a lab facility?

Not always. Many tests can be completed via: at-home kits, local labs, mobile phlebotomy (where available).

How accurate are at-home labs?

Very accurate when used correctly. We partner with reputable, certified labs.

How often do I need labs?

Typically: every 3 months for hormone therapy, every 3–6 months for weight loss, as needed for metabolic evaluations.

What if labs show something serious?

Your provider will help you understand the results and advise whether further evaluation is needed with your primary care doctor.

Coaching & support

What does coaching include?

Coaching includes: weekly check-ins, nutrition guidance, sleep optimization, stress support, habit building, progress tracking, medication troubleshooting.

Are coaches medically trained?

Yes. Our coaches are trained in behavior change, nutrition fundamentals, and clinical communication — and work alongside your medical provider.

Can I message my coach anytime?

Yes. Most plans include asynchronous messaging for ongoing support.

What if I travel or have an unpredictable schedule?

Our coaching is flexible and designed for real life — not perfection.

Medications & safety

Is this safe long-term?

Yes — when dosed properly and monitored regularly.

Are you incentivized to prescribe more medication?

No. We do not receive compensation for medication volume or type. Your health — not medication — drives decision-making.

Do you prescribe medication to everyone?

Never. We turn down prescriptions whenever they're unsafe or clinically unnecessary.

Do medications interact with my current prescriptions?

Your provider will review your medical history to ensure safety before prescribing anything.

What happens if I experience side effects?

Skeptic corner (The real questions)

Is this just an online clinic handing out prescriptions?

No. We prioritize safety and personalization. Medication is only one part of your plan — and never guaranteed.

Why should I trust this when nothing else has worked?

Because most programs treat symptoms. We treat systems — hormones, metabolism, stress, sleep, inflammation, and nutrition.

Do you push the same treatment on everyone?

Never. Two people with identical symptoms may require completely different approaches.

Do you get paid more if I stay on medication longer?

No. We do not profit from medication volume or duration.

Is this the same as a med spa or shot bar?

No. Med spas focus on aesthetics. We focus on metabolic health, hormones, and long-term vitality.

What if hormone or GLP-1 therapy makes me feel worse?

You can message your provider anytime — we'll adjust dosage or change the plan.

Is this 'biohacking'?

No. We use evidence-based medical protocols, not unproven trends.

What if my primary doctor disagrees with your approach?

We're optimizing health — not replacing your primary care. We're happy to collaborate with them if needed.

What if this isn't for me after I start?

You can cancel or pause your plan depending on eligibility. No pressure, no judgment.
